As with our scarves, ties and eye pillows, this artwork is hand painted on silk with dyes, not paints. While paint sits on the surface and stiffens the fabric, dyes become part of the fabric, leaving it soft and silky with a luster that sparkles in the light. See also the Silk Painting Gallery page.
